Hi there. My name is Henrik Cox. I'm an engineer in wildlife conservation.
And part of my job is to tell the stories of the technologies and products that we've been working on every day and the potential impact that they have on the environmental world around us.
I recently picked up Pip Decks for storytelling. I work with the digital version, but I'm looking forward to having the physical cards in my hand at some point.
So far they've been fantastic for helping out with pitch deck presentations, with talking to board members and leadership and sharing ideas with what kind of materials we want.
Once we've been working on the technologies and what we want to promote out into the world.
So I highly recommend them. And I'm looking forward to working with even more in the future.
From technical complexity to compelling stories
Henrik discovered Storyteller Tactics when he needed to communicate complex conservation technologies to diverse audiences. As a product manager in wildlife conservation, he recognised that technical expertise alone wasn't enough—he needed to tell compelling stories that would connect with stakeholders emotionally.
The cards provided him with a structured approach to storytelling. He used them for pitch deck presentations, board member communications, and leadership discussions. This helped him transform complex technical information into accessible narratives that resonated with his audience.
The conservation communication challenge
Communicating conservation technologies requires more than just technical accuracy—it needs emotional connection. Henrik found that Storyteller Tactics gave him the tools to structure narratives that would help stakeholders understand the potential impact of conservation technologies on the environmental world.
The cards helped him bridge the gap between technical complexity and stakeholder understanding, making it easier to communicate the value and impact of conservation technologies to diverse audiences.
What made the difference
Henrik's experience shows how Storyteller Tactics solves real problems for technical professionals. The cards provide instant access to proven storytelling frameworks, reducing planning time whilst maintaining quality. The structured approach, in particular, helped him communicate complex technical information more effectively.
How Henrik uses Storyteller Tactics in practice
Henrik translates sensor breakthroughs into short narrative beats: the conservation problem on the ground, the constraint, the intervention and the early signal of change. He uses a hook to open board updates with a field story, then follows a structure card so the technology becomes supporting detail rather than the whole story. For grant pitches, he pairs a character card with outcome metrics to keep the user—the ranger, the community—at the centre.
