Persuasion

Just give me a reason

Humans want to have reasons to do just about anything. It helps us feel rational.

You can use that when asking someone for a favour.

Research shows you’re more likely to hear ‘yes’ if you give a reason, like asking for funding because of upcoming project costs.

Productivity

The two-day rule

Want to stay kind to yourself while still accomplishing your goal?

Don’t allow yourself to go more than two days without the desired action.

For example, you can skip your workout or a side project for the weekend - but don’t give yourself a day off on Monday, too.

Sales

In comparison

Your customers are likely to compare your prices to other products and even use comparison sites.

To stop them from leaving your site (and potentially forgetting about your product), provide them with comparison on the page.

Present the price against:
  • a competitor’s product
  • a different product of yours
  • the product’s past price.
