Storytelling
Your story is the thing
Minimise distractions when public speaking.
It might be tempting to utilise video, images and sound within your presentation, but often they'll detract from your story.
Keep them at a minimum and only use them to hammer a point home.
Facilitation
What kind of meeting?
Declare the kind of meeting or workshop you're running:
Are you informing?
Brainstorming?
Decision-making?
If you're clear about the kind of meeting you're having, people will have an easier time preparing beforehand.
Strategy
Be spiky
Don't be afraid to be provocative.
Strategic planning should foster intense debates and discussions.
Ask tough questions and allow some scepticism to ensure all considerations have been made.
