The “don't list”

Struggling to stay productive throughout the day?

Stop focusing on ‘things to do’ for a moment. Think of things not to do instead.

Compile a list of things to avoid - such as:
  • no looking at phone during key work hours
  • no jumping into an easier task to escape the harder (and more urgent) one
  • no skipping breaks for more than two hours.

Branding

Repeat, repeat, repeat

Thinking of updating your brand message? Consider this.

Brand identity is cumulative. Because you’re dealing with yours every day, you may feel like you’re repeating yourself. But it takes way longer to set in your audience’s minds than it does in yours.

Sometimes, the best way to get noticed isn’t to change the message but to continue sending it.

Teamwork

Facts vs. stories

Want your team to communicate more effectively?

Differentiate what happens from the stories you build around it.

For example, you could feel that your team isn’t listening to your ideas during a brainstorm - but really it’s the speedy format of the meeting that lets the ideas slip.

Understanding the root cause can help you raise the right concern: about the meeting itself, not how much your colleagues listen to you.
